Why does QWERTY get to have six letters? Shouldn't it be four (ala QWER)? Or did QWERTY do some kind of deal with ZXCV?

it should. but QWER stole 2 letters from TYUI (or in my keyboard's case: TZUI), because TYUI was a retard.
