I was previously schooled that it is not just merely a fish in a sombrero. It is the venerable Admiral Akbar, whose skills in making indisputable observations are unmatched in the universe. In this particular photo he proudly proclaims his Mexican heritage to the world, while dancing a fun and happy little jig to "La Cucaracha" - we, of course, cannot comprehend how a fishlike creature can utilize its tail fins to dance, and witnessing such an event would cause a complete mental overload resulting in the brain exploding within the skull, so vraiment's avatar merely depicts the head of the famed fish so as to spare us all from certain doom.
Plus around the holidays he wears one of those Santa hats which is cool.
