Is Madame Quat cheating on the Great Sir Ark???
And she is now being called "Ms. Quat" - using the non-marraige-specific title????
Oh, what has come of this world!!
LIKE SAND THROUGH AN HOURGLASS, THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES!!
omg, it's THOSE, not THESE. get it right
My dear aviating ovine acquaintance,
Your attempt to correct me have failed, as you, too, are wrong. First, THOSE refers to a thing of the past, and would only be the correct word choice in this context if we were dead or if the line was from a soap opera of zombies. Further, the line would have to be amended to read, "those were the days of our lives." Doubly incorrect.
However, you are right in pointing out that I did misquote the phrase. A quick check of various reference sites on the InterWeb reveals that the line is correctly printed as, "Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives." I can understand how phonetically "so" and "those" could easily be mixed up, so I commend your auditory knowledge for detecting my error. Honestly, I have never known a sheep to have such good hearing.
Your very humble servant,
