from starting middle school to finishing the very first midterm of high school today. exciting! (hahano.)

Junior high/middle school = 6th, 7th, & 8th grade
High school = 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grade

What if kids start school at different ages? Or use a non-numerical system for grades? THEN THE SYSTEM STOPS HAVING MEANING AND THEN MISCOMMUNICATION

We have elementary school 1-8th grade and then secondary which is apparently high school. BUT there are 8-year secondary schools, so kids after the 4th grade can choose to go to those instead of finishing the elementary. I have no idea why is this good. I went to "regular" 8+4.

But who's to say that this thread is in misery in the first place? Maybe it likes the fact that even after all this time, it is still remembered fondly, and that it is not thought of as a burden that everyone's just waiting for to die so they can get their hands on the inheritance.
