I need a quick opinion.

Ok.
So,

At my school, I understand that there has been issues with violence. But really, it never bothered me until today.
I've known this girl, Jessica, for a while. Well, I recently found out that she didn't like my friend, Nicky. So, I find out today that Jessica asked her friend Crystal to help her beat Nicky. During lunch yesterday, Jessica and Crystal jump Nicky.

Nicky was sent to the hospital with a cracked skull, and bruises on her face and body. She was lucky enough to live, and she has stitches on the back of her head. If she gets struck there again, she could die.

So, Jessica found out about this, and threatens that she's going to jump Nicky again.

Now, opinion. Do you think that if someone didnt like someone else, they have any right to beat them?

The first beating was bad enough. Why would Jessica want to end Nicky's life?

Because Nicky is dating Jessicas ex. [I'm serious. That's the only reason, or so I've heard..]

So, I ask you. Is it just me, or is this situation really immature?

immature doesnt even BEGIN to describe it. no, not liking someone doesnt give you the right to beat them. fuck that. this world is getting ridiculous.

anyone hear about the 3rd graders who plotted to kill their teacher? they brought knives, handcuffs, and everything. they even had their own jobs. one student wouldve distracted the teacher, the other wouldve knocked her out, another would close all the windows, and they even delegated the job of cleaning up the blood afterwards.

COMPLETELY ridiculous.

(i dont mean to change the subject btw, just giving an example of how shitty this world is becoming)

It seems to be these days that not liking someone is enough to take them out. There is no such thing as talking things out or some other form of making peace. Welcome to the world of instant gratification! I'm glad that it was just a beating. I know it's not just a beating; in this case it's much more severe, but it could have been a shooting, a stabbing, something somewhere with no authority. They obviously had no right to take the action they did. I hope your friend turns out all right and I hope nothing further happens. =/
