Yeah, I try not to have a blood clot. I tell my blood every morning not to clot. My blood is like "I'll try!"

Re: The Daily Thread
I've only traveled with a plane once when i was like 3 years old or something, even though i work in aviation, so i can't say anything about the food. Other than, yeah, your senses really are inhibited up there, so it tastes blander by default.
Also don't travel by plane with a cold. Thank me later.
On a different note. I somehow managed to give my self a bit of a anxiety attack in my sleep, so that was fun.

Yikes. Yeah, the subconscious can get really worked up in dream-anxiety mode. I guess it can get into a loop about all the anxiety you feel during the day, without a conscious effort to stay calm.

Re: The Daily Thread
This week I ordered a portable generator for the garage as a gift to my husband. He had wanted such a thing for a long time and I thought it would be a good and useful gift for the 10th wedding anniversary. [link removed] model, hope it fits. Judging by the description, the power should be enough.
Re: The Daily Thread
I thought about getting a portable generator this winter (I live on a mountain 30 miles from the nearest town, our power gets restored last) so I wouldn't miss work if the power went out, but the price gouging seasonal markup for them is ridiculous here

Re: The Daily Thread
Thanks.
I'm not very good at scrabble, but maybe I'll practice some more at some point.
I got confused by some of the words the computer considered words but I didn't know them..

Re: The Daily Thread
AFAIK the noble peace prizes are only given to noble born citizens with the bluest of aristocratic blood (color values checked against the official chart).
Citizens with non-blue blood may only receive the free tier peace prize (ad-supported).
