hehe, futurama was my favorite show for a really long time (i still think its really good)
haven't seen the new episodes, though. I'll get around to it eventually lol

the new episodes are... fine. It's not my favourite stuff, but it's still Futurama. I'd rather have the (arguably) best ending in TV history.

That's about what I expected, honestly.
It seems like every time they release new seasons, some episodes are just a few more slightly subpar episodes than in previous seasons.

Hard agree that the ending to the last season was peak. I'd say it's my favorite ending to a TV show, but I'd have to give that honor to Code Geass (one of the few times I've legit cried from media) - I don't think Code Geass was as good as Futurama overall, though.

In aggregate, I'm a little worried but not overly so that Futurama may take the path of the Simpsons... Golden age Simpsons was really good (many people argue it was better than the best Futurama episodes, but I moderately disagree with that - In particular, the Simpsons doesn't hold up to the test of time even 10% as well as Futurama does) but if you are honest with yourself, the show as a whole is absolute shit. FOX has released like 20+ seasons of total slop (that nobody watches, except Brazillians apparently?), which doesn't ruin previously great episodes in a vacuum but it does utterly tarnish their legacy.

Though to be honest, Futurama has always had ridiculously overqualified writers, so at least for now it doesn't look like they're heading in that direction. I don't mind a subtle decrease in quality as much as the absolute nosedive taken by the SImpsons.

Still, I think I agree with you. I'm not sure I'm on board with them constantly rebooting the show. I was plenty happy how it ended, honestly. Though, as long as they don't shit the bed, I'm not really against them putting out some more content for the fans who want some new episodes.
Honestly, I'm a bit surprised by my own indifference. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's been a few years since they announced this current reboot, but even back then I was not very hyped... now, I'm basically just putting it at the bottom of my 'to-watch' list (which has a bunch of really good stuff on it that I'll almost certainly watch first)

im doing okay. i made a good piece of music today, i was struggling to do so. im still learning and its going well.

i aspire to be a good musician so i can make a theme song for asdfcon.

I wonder, what are you doing in college? I'm interested if you care to share!

I'm pursuing a degree in sound engineering. Its very tiring. Plus the people over here
