well, actually only the ego dies, which was an illusion anyway...
when we die, we lose the borders that restrain us and we become one again with the great consciousness of the universe...

I think that after we die, our soul goes to another body, we will die never. And after apocalypse, we will take it again from the beggining. And we are rotating in circle... And we live, live, live... And there might be a lot of universes, even in the molecules it might be another universe.. And our universe might be a molecule of other universe. And everybody live,live,live. And we live,live,live... And this will never end.. And our actions and reacions affects nobody, 'cuz it's useless to try to change something. 100 years might be 1 second for other ones and 1 second for us, 100 years for other ones. So our actions are unimportant, all will be erased once... There is just a free running... and we run,run,run...

an i dont think your are right. i believe that there is a "soul", free from time... this is where our consciousness comes from...

but as fangel mentioned... you should probably think i am crazy... the "you are crazy" thought is to protect you from the truth...

I always thought that the soul was the other 3% of the human DNA we havent figured out yet. does that make our souls just as mortal as us?
Or does it mean that as humans, we cannot control who we are, but it is truly written in us.

sure not.
first, we have "figured out" all of human dna. we dont understand it, but we can see it now.
second, a "soul" surely is not imprinted in dna. if there is such a thing it comes from a different plain of existence.
i cant write everything down that leads to that conclusion and it doesent even matter if you believe me. see it with your own visual center...

reminds me of hinduism, just that there is no apocalypse or something... this world.. the maya is an illusion, we, our celestial body inhabits a physical vessel with which we are able to act. after we die, our soul is reborn and if we lived our lives good and in love we will arise to a "better" life, and if we hurt alot of people and are mean, we get a bad karma and are reborn as bums, animals or mods.

if we rode the wheel of karma long enough and lived a holy life we actually can escape the wheel and enter the clockless nowever....

BUT there might still be a free will!
