The hunt for the Asdf Hex

Step one: I typed "asdf" Into this binary translator.
Step two: I copyed the HEX code (61 73 64 66 0d 0a) and punched it into google
Step three: The second result is a youtube video by the title of "trapped".
Step four: At 0:19 in said video the words. "DARKNESS FINDS YOU" Was written on the screen. This phrase happens to contain the letters A,S,D, and F. if you remove all other letters other than asdf and keep their form you get: DASF. I translate that into HEX (44 41 53 46)
Step five: I typed the hex into google and bam.. A location in Russia!


The plot thickens...

There was something else that somebody else posted on the forums about a different location showing up in their search. We need to find what these two locations have in common.

Now, the 83642 ZIP code refers to Meridian, Idaho. That must be the place
to start the hunt for the true meaning of asdf.

I'm afraid there's a flaw in your method:
The "0d 0a" are not part of asdf. They're the carriage return + line feed characters that come from having a new line. (On Windows computers, hitting the "enter" key actually produces two characters instead of one)

You would need to start over by only entering "61 73 64 66" or the upper-case equivalent "41 53 44 46".
