I don't mind the ads. They're so common on the web that I practically don't even notice them anymore.

Owning and maintaining a website costs money. Ads are a perfectly normal, reasonable way to pay for expenses.

also, while i don't want philtom's ad money reduced, i'd like to just silently mention adblock plus.years ago, the user asdf (aka philtom) wrote:truth be told, the forums will make about $10 this month from google ads. just about enough to cover hosting costs.

Using programs to block ads is in no way illegal. I don't mind seeing the ads, though.

They are fine, unless they are teh ones that slow down your computer with fake games that say: "Shoot 4 iPhones!"

These ones are straight from Google Ads, I think, so they don't even really slow anything down.
