Random Discussion Thread
I'm going to post a random scenario or question.
Everyone can reply with what they think or feel about the subject, or answer the question.
After every 4 replies I will change the discussions topic.
Or if it goes off-topic before then I will put it up sooner.
Or if im not logged in, I will put it up later. Ha.
Here's where we start:
Is being told, "I fucking hate you!" grounds enough to end a long-term relationship?
(By long-term I mean about a year.)

the only time that would be grounds for ending it is if it was really meant. many people say things like that if they are upset, so its possible it wasnt meant at all. do you feel the same way?
Come read my new book coming out soon!

I agree with you Kelli, you can easily tell the difference between someone who is only playing around and someone who isn't. I think if someone really yells that at you, you need to either end the relationship or fix whats wrong with the relationship.
Next Scenario:
You are at a bf/gf house and you go to look at their phone just out of curiosity. Is that wrong of you? Or should there be that level of open-ness in the relationship?
What if the bf/gf freaks out and tries to grab the phone?
What if the bf/gf BREAKS the phone in order to keep you from looking at it?
(I'll move on from the relationship topic next time around.)

1: It's weird, but if it's just out of curiosity then eh, who cares? I used to take my buddy's cell phone and play around with it, although he stopped letting me use it since I kept changing the language on it. Oh, you don't speak Dutch?
2: They're hiding something, ashamed of something or have extreme privacy issues.
3: Well, she's crazy and/or obviously hiding something--especially if she's willing to break a phone just to hide its contents.
Of course, it could also be the fault of the guy if he's overzealous in protecting her and gets crazy over simple things. There are plenty of indeterminable factors, which is why I stay the hell away from relationships. I don't like games, drama or lies--a bachelor for life.

it all really depends on how close you two are and what kind of person he/she is. Genrally if you two are close then there is nothing wrong with you looking at his/her phone.
If they freak out about it its pretty plain they're hiding something, but jumping to the conclusion that its to do with you is a bit egotistical and insensative. There could for example be family issues that they discussed with a family member over text message.
In the end when you make a conclusion about their reasons for a bad reaction your making a conclusion about your faith in them and your relationship

I think as long as you're not expecting to find something on the phone there isn't a problem. If you are then there are probably some trust issues. The openness level all depends on how far along you are in the relationship.
If the owner of the phone freaks out it could be from the invasion of privacy or because they're hiding something. If there's nothing to hide, there's nothing to hide, but you still have to respect the fact that it isn't your property so if someone does freak out then tsk tsk at you!
If they break the phone then something is probably wrong. Either the person is way too aggressive to be in a relationship or they're lying and probably cheating. I would watch my back.

Yeah, its obvious that there is something this person is hiding.
But I never thought about what fatty said...

That's a very good point. But then again, if its a close enough relationship then he/she still shouldnt have to worry about keeping things like that a secret.All_Shall_Destroy_Fatty wrote:There could for example be family issues that they discussed with a family member over text message.

I knew putting fatty in my name would be a mistake!
There are certain things that you want to stay just within the family (out of respect for family members or sometimes from embarassment), or say you have a partner who is busy with certain things in their life, you wouldn't exactly want to burden them with your problems.

Well, no information is given so I have no idea how these people became infected in the first place. None the less:
Yes, I'll definitely be armed. I have armor and a myriad of weapons (10 daggers, 3 swords, a spear, a flail, 2 sets of Kamas, a staff, etc.). First stop would be the mall, where I'd hit the sporting good store for shin guards, a breastplate of sorts, and anything else that could contribute towards defense. After that, I'd fight my way down towards the leather shop where I'd cover my neck with a collar-like belt (bite defense), strap a cowhide trench over my armor and cover any other even semi-exposed areas. Overheating is possible, but at least I'd be safer from being touched by infected blood.
Seeing as how zombies would be unable to climb, I'd gather (hopefully) untainted water supplies and food and set up a temp. base at the nearby watertower, since it's both safe and providing of a good view to scout out survivors.
A zombie apocalypse probably would not last long considering how the zombies would be perpetually decaying and would eventually lose the ability to move. The only truly difficult parts would be A: Finding out what caused the outbreak to begin with and getting rid of it and B: Cleaning up afterwards and getting the country back into swing. I'd be more concerned with the opportunity-seeing, power-hungry humans who would take full advantage of the situation.

Next Unlikely Scenario:
A tram full of innocent passengers is on a path to destruction.
It is headed straight for a wall at a high speed.
The only way to save everyones lives is for the tram to collide with a very heavy but very soft solid object before it reaches the wall.
You are standing next to a fat person.
Do you push them into the tram tracks?
If you were fat would you sacrifice yourself?
