I would unfortunately have to disagree. While it's true that there are a lot of advertisers who join the forum, it's a very good reason that they do not get further.
Here is an example of a typical account that joins the forum to post "advertisment":

Image

In 99.9% of the cases they are bots. Unfortunately the forum doesn't have great anti-bot measures. It's one (if not the) reason we have an approval system in place in the first place. Which perhaps does defer new people from joining, but makes the forum that much more clean. Before I did a clean-up (deleted more than 55 thousand accounts) we had a lot of spam posts every day. It's better now, but we still have bots join every single day.

There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Forums of ASDF. But it was a beginning.

Yeah, there's no chance of advertisers becoming normal users.

And they just don't care. Most are robots anyway, designed to post ads and pretend to be real people.
Ivokyuftaf6666 wrote:-If I do not login and do not visit ASDF for more than one year, may I be sure that my account will not be deleted just because of inactivity?
Don't worry! "Inactive" in this case means any account that hasn't yet confirmed its email address. Any account that's been "activated" is active and stays that way unless for some reason we manually force reactivation (which won't happen to any regular user). We check post count too. Basically anyone who's posted more than a couple of times is safe.

You can interpret it as "advertisers" on this forums are bots and thus cannot become regular users. Even if it were people doing the advertising I would be against it. If the goal is to increase the members of the forum there are many ways better than inviting advertisers. Their main goal would always be to advertise and sell us something, letting them post here "freely" would be against the purpose of the forums.

It is not my intention to sound harsh or anything.
Ivokyuftaf6666 wrote:-If I do not login and do not visit ASDF for more than one year, may I be sure that my account will not be deleted just because of inactivity? How often at least should I visit ASDF, so that I could be calm about my account?
Do not worry, your account will never be in danger of being deleted. When I clean up accounts I do it by some very specific filters, one of which is that the account has 0 posts. Even then it's a process where I first deactivate the account and then delete them, checking twice to make sure that there aren't any legitimate accounts among them. There are some old accounts that have 0 posts that I watch out for so they don't get deleted.
So anyone who doesn't want to have their account deleted should just make sure they have at least one post somewhere on the forum, and if not have a somewhat legitimate username and email (I do have a prejudice against Russian mail providers).

You guys are giving advertisers a bad name. Most of them are real people just like you that want to make friends and influence people experience what the best of the web has to offer.

Also, ask me about my line of Keja T-Shirts and refrigerator magnets coming Q3 2017

Pronouns: Well it shouldn't really be that complicated if you go over my post history but then... why are you searching through my post history? Don't you think you are over complicating something as simple as just referring to me? Why are you like this? Is it just out of boredom? Does your religion require it? You could just assume them and skip all this paragraph, don't worry an eldritch horror won't appear out of nowhere to eat you (or me for that matter) if you get this wrong, the worst that can happen is I ignore you and even in that case you can try again! There shouldn't be that many options anyway so if you get it wrong the first time try again and again. Bottom line is: you just lost a bunch of time reading this paragraph for something as trivial as figuring out how to refer to me when you could just have deduced it which should make you think your life choices so far.

Isn't that the reason why the forum is so low in activity? What about using Google's new 1-click captcha thing?

I wouldn't say it's the reason. It might be a contributing factor, but most people who post once post again despite having to wait for the post to be approved. We unfortunately cannot change the captcha, only Philtom can do that.

I sense sarcasm. Now where are those hot singles? Need something to listen to.

BBC News wrote:atomtengeralattjaro 'strongly' denies alleged copyright infringement
The Atom House says atomtengeralattjaro "clearly and consistently" rejects Keja's claims.

The Atom House has denied allegations that atomtengeralattjaro had an infringement with an copyright.

Keja gave details about the alleged 2018 infringement during an interview on ASDF Forums' "A proposal for creating a new section on ASDF" programme.

"The atom doesn't believe that any of the claims that Keja made in his interview were accurate," said spokesman tengeralattjaro.

atomtengeralattjaro's lawyers are seeking $20m (£14m) in damages from him, saying he broke a non-disclosure deal.
I did not have infringement relations with that copyright.
