Hello, my Chinese name is Liu Dongsheng, I don't have an English name yet
Greetings from Canada
I do not know if you are using a translation tool or if you can read and write in English, so I am writing this post in a way that will make it easier for translation tools to decipher (hopefully)
I don't know much about this website
Welcome to ASDF! If you read some of the threads, you will quickly learn what we do here. It is mostly fun and arbitrary nonsense
Hello, I'm trying how to reply to you directly
You did it right, but we have a soft rule here to not 'double-post' (which means do not create more than one response in the same thread before another person responds). For example, your last three posts could have been just one, and looked like this:
阿冬 wrote:Hello, my Chinese name is Liu Dongsheng, I don't have an English name yet
I don't know much about this website
Evai wrote:Hello friend, how do I write your name
Hello, I'm trying how to reply to you directly

You can click the ❝ symbol to do a direct reply, without creating a new post
I hope that all made sense lol
Anyway, welcome to asdf Please feel free to make yourself comfortable! We are glad to have you

Hello, thank you for your reply. I'm getting to know how to use this website. My English is not very good, so I do use translation software to chat. I want to learn English here. And there are foreign friends cool
I don't understand this sentence, is it to imagine what this website can do? Also, am I the first time to enter this web site Chinese?

I bet it could sell for a million dollars!
Hm... but what if we sell it not in cash or stocks, but as NFTs?

It's got layers.
Explaining a joke generally ruins the joke, so I'll put it in a spoiler tag:
Spoiler:
A while ago, 'imagine ___' was used as a sort of veiled insult over the internet. I do not know why it became popular, but whatever.
The fundamental idea is that remarking 'Imagine using asdf forums' is kind of like saying 'Imagine how lame it would be to use asdf forums'. In case it's not clear from a machine transltion, the definition of lame I am using is colloquial and is used to mean a similar thing to "uncool", "unpopular", "embarassing", or "cringeworthy"
The second layer to this is the main reason this is funny, rather than being a simple jab at everyone using the site. It is that I am posting this on asdf forums, after being a user for many years. Thus, I am also insulting myself indirectly, which comes off as goofy, clumsy and (hopefully) endearing
It also makes it clear that I am not being serious, because given my activity it is very clear I have a positive opinion on this site.
Sorry for being longwinded, I couldn't find a shorter way to write all that out
Also, am I the first time to enter this web site Chinese?
I haven't been here the longest out of everyone, but from the time I've been here (a lovely few years) you are definitely the first in my memory!
Then again, this is the internet, anybody could be virtually anything and it's all (mostly) anonymous
Wait... Maybe Evai has been chinese all along???
