Obscure web games
Do any of you guys have any obscure webgames that you guys play just to pass the time?
ex: neptune's pride or factory idle (those two are a little less obscure than others, but there are more relevant ones as well)

Re: Obscure web games
I haven't heard of those two (Ill check them out for sure though), but I can share some idle games I have played:
Candy Box 2 (i havent played the first game)
A Dark Room (really cool but shorter than I remember)
Universal Paperclips (i recently replayed this but i think i might have glitched out or smth)
Crank (probably my least favorite but still worth playing to waste some time)
Kittens Game (the longest and grindiest of them all. I'm 30 days into my first run of this one. definitely pretty fun)
Here are some other browser games that I played when I was younger. They are not idle games, but I have fond memories of them:
the Run Series (Coolmathgames was the real OG). I like all of the ones I've played, but some people only like a few.
the Duck Life series. They are all pretty similar, but I've played most of them.
Stickman-style games I enjoyed:
Henry Stickmin series is the absolute masterclass of this mini-genre. Every game is super funny and entertaining, and so nostalgic
the Vex series is a surprisingly difficult and deep parkour-type game
Electroman Adventures (2? I think?) is a fun combo-fighting game.
I would also recommend some more classic puzzle games:
Wordle
Squaredle
Sudoku (you can play this basically anywhere)
Washington post daily crossword
.io Games (I played tons & tons of these during high school, not sure how many of them still exist or have changed massively with new content or ads):
Diep.io
Agar.io
Slither.io
MooMoo.io
ShellShockers
ZombsRoyale
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP (or smth)
miscellaneous
If you have a friend to play with, try Fire Boy and Water Girl. A cute puzzle game.
ive also spent way too many hours on Sporcle. You can actually find my account, its under the same name I use here
Doodle God, if you havent played it and can find it. One of my formative experiences. Unironically
Akinator is kinda fun but gets boring quickly. also really hard to "win"
If you've never tried it, you gotta try the Bored Button!
"Neal.fun" has tons of neat things, some of which are better than others.
---
I have countless more, but these are all the ones I can think of right at this moment.

Re: Obscure web games
why would i even want you to remove that?
it's free advertisement for my brand (not to mention a beautiful post)
frankly, if you started demanding a monthly fee to keep it there i'd have to fork up

Re: Obscure web games
Of course! Please enjoy!
Here's a couple other similar games I've remembered:
- Most games in the 'Escape' genre are really low quality, but can burn a couple of minutes fairly nicely.
- Antimatter Dimensions is another hyper-grindy idle game.
- When mentioning idle games, I somehow forgot to mention Cookie Clicker. The king of the genre
- Progress Knight and Prestige Tree (Rewritten) are two other decent idle games.
- The Bubble Tank series was an all time favorite of mine back in grade school. I remember loving it so much.
- BrowserQuest is a short and fun mmorpg made by Mozilla. You can play it right in your browser, hence the name XD
- If you want to exercise a little creativity, I find fantasynamegenerators.com pretty useful.
- If you're even a little interested in language, ipachart.com has a really cool interactive table that shows you every sound humans make across all their languages.
- Push the Square is a tiny little idle game. It's fun, but super short (only around five minutes)
- Sadly, Sporcle kind of sucks now due to horrific ad bloat (so bad it makes every page lag), but JetPunk is a pretty good alternative.

Re: Obscure web games
analog or digital?
also welcome to the forums! we're excited to have you, as long as you're human and not here to adverties!
Also, Nadda: I found a website called galaxy.click - it has a lot of idle/incremental games on it (most of them suck but some are decent) and a lot of them I havent see anywhere else.
You could also try itch.io, which is basically a platform in its own right. Personally, i never find anything i like there but others have and shared with me so i know theres at least a few decent games there

Re: Obscure web games
Good suggestions all around, some new, some i've already seen but I'll come back to this whenever i'm bored.
I'll definitely checkout galaxy.click, as I do like idle & incremental games.
I already use itch.io to download some smaller games that I can play on this old MacBook that i use. Funnily enough i was about to go there and see if I could find any games that i could download before deciding to check in on the forums.
and for solitaire, I already play that a good amount. it's good both physical and digital.
