I had some quartz, and smashed it, making a bunch of little 'crystal' looking rocks as such. This was some time ago and I only have a few left. I liked this one so I fashioned a sort of stand in a personally visually appealing way. Simple but 'elegant'. The stand is just some copper wire with purple insulation. I straightened the wire by hand (it was bundled and bent) then just shaped it to fit the stone. I made it as a gift, and it shall be delivered to Domtar (I'm sure it's no surprise by now) when I see her again.

The stone is actually pink like in the second to last picture... looking at the pictures, they look a little green for some reason.

Yeah, I see that now. My friend had a giant chunk of quartz, but I don't think he would be pleased if I smashed it up. He always found the coolest stuf on beaches. He found an amonite fossil the size of a plate once...
