Really simple. We're on a plane over the Atlantic ocean, but the plane crashes. Now we've washed upon an island.
1. Speak for your own character
2. Don't kill other people and eat them
3. 1st or 3rd person is fine

Since it is about noon, I decide that the first course of action is to scavenge for materials.
The 3 things we need to scavenge for are: Food, Materials for tools, Materials for shelter; Firewood.
Since I'm good at working with my hands, I go down beach to look for sticks for spears and rocks for shelter.
On my way down, I find a dead crab and some coconuts for lunch, I can find rocks to break them open, but someone needs to find materials for fire.

just after waking and being all soggy on some random beach, i notice its about noon and hot as frak. feeling really tired, i go and take my clothes off to the skives and lay them on a boulder, then go sit under a plam tree to relax. some dude walking away was mumbling about stick and firewood?

While searching for sizable rocks, I find an opening to a cave. I go in and find a pool of fresh ground water, but I have nothing to contain it with.
I go back with rocks and start to build a hut. While it is barely enough for me to fit in, it provides enough shelter from the 3 'o' clock sun.

waking from a short slumber, i go and put my damp clothes back on. looking around i see lots of sand and an island forest in front of me. from the larger out cropping of stone nearby, this island probably has lots of limestone. now that some of the midday heat is gone, i decide to craft a wedge from some limestone from further inland.(stone axe and stuff)

John washed up alone....on a completely different part of the island.....after taking a quick look around....and a short moment to morn the fact he missed his vacation, and that it would be awhile longer still before he got to see the love of his life......he buried all those feelings and....the cool calm washed over him....that same calm he kept while on the field in combat.......after looking around briefly at this part of the island....he decided it was nothing special and he could not stay here.....he hoped he would find some natives further inland.....and began to mildly wander into the jungle of this tropical island......stopping once in awhile to grab some berries and other vegetables he knew to be edible...as well as some vines he figured would serve well as rope.....he lashed it around his torso and wrapped the food in his suit jacket and slung it over his shoulder.....a little further in he found a large stick.....it was just the right size for a walking stick...and strong enough if he needed, he could use it as a weapon....he snapped a few stray twigs off it and went further in.....after a bit....he noticed a mountain....he knew from the sun he had washed up on the east side of the island and had been traveling west.....so he could only assume that he had found the middle....there was a stream running down the mountain and he headed towards it....he looked around for signs if the water was bad....and after not seeing anything dead in or around it...and no discoloration in the water...he had hims self a few drinks.....then climbed up into a tree...positioned himself, tied himself down with the vines he had carried and began to have a few berries to tide him over....and began to wait out the night...for by this time the sun had started to go down....and the last thing john wanted was to wander unknown territory in the dark........he will be up most of the night....maybe catching one to two hours of sleep somewhere in the middle.

My peaceful slumber was interrupted by the dull ache in my stomach. So I go to make a fire for my crab. While I gather twigs about fifty feet inland near the palm trees, I notice a strange figure on the beach. I rush toward it, and when I reach it, I realize that it is a corpse. His nametag reads: "Robert Giley, Co-Pilot." With some nausea, I search his pockets. Nothing but a magnifying glass and a watch. I run out to water, fighting violent waves, and throw up. The ache is 10 times worse, but I know have something to start a fire with, and start to build a fire ring at my camp, looking up at the crescent moon.

walking over to the guy with the fire circle, i say" couple hours and i got the axehead and a slender shard, it took forever to grind out a slicing edge with the limestone. my name is sterling by the way" as i extend my hand. "figure it would be easyer to crack them coconuts with somethin hard an sharp".

I shake Sterling's hand and say "Nice to meet you Sterling. My name's Borgus. I have a lot of coconuts, and I was looking for something to crack them open with. Mighty kind of you to help me out."

"sure" i walk over to where the coconuts were gathered and started to scalp the ones with a rind and used the shard and the flat of the axe head to drill some holes. "you know these rinds im sure would dry out nicely to make good, quick kindling". "if you want, mr borgus, ill make you a set of limestone tools tomorrow."

I turn to Sterling and say "My watch says 7PM, which seems to be correct, it appears the co-pilot updated the time each time we entered a new timezone. It' getting late, so I wouldn't do that right now. Maybe tomorrow, but I have a feeling we're not alone. I'm going to look for more crabs."

We need a girl character. Let's see if I can do a decent one.
Name: Maria Gonzales
Age: She wouldn't tell you if you tortured her.
Gender: Female
Specifics: Maria is 5' 5", with dark brown hair and light olive skin. Her build is slightly on the slender side of average. She's wearing mid calf-length jean shorts, black tennis shoes, and a pink ribbed t-shirt. Her hair falls down to the bottom of her shoulder blades, and she normally keeps it in a simple pony tail (though right now it's a mess. She'll probably fix that sometime during the story).
Special: Nothing that would stand out, other than what will be mentioned in the background.
Background: Maria was on vacation with some friends and was returning home. She's originally from Mexico, and can speak English well enough to participate in conversations, though she feels much more comfortable speaking Spanish. Her dad had a shop, where he made some simple furniture as a hobby, so she knows her way around tools.

Maria clung to the bit of wreckage that had saved her life when the plane crashed. She hadn't had time to grab her seat cushion, and had just grabbed the nearest thing that wasn't sinking. She gripped it fiercely and just let herself be taken by the sea.

Eventually, Maria washed up on the shore of an island. Her body finally let her loosen the grip on the wreckage, and she collapsed. She had inhaled a bit of water, and started spitting it out in coughs. She closed her eyes right where she was, and fell unconscious as exhaustion took over. She was safer than she had been for... however long that had been, but she would need to wake up and get moving before the tide started coming in again.

i wake up fairly early, though it was lit, the sun hadnt crested the the horizon yet. i find some long and thin driftwood to stoke what little embers were still lit and throw the half shells of coconut on, go over to borgus to lightly shake him."breakfast is ready"

"Oh good," I say. I notice a human figure down the beach, but it's not the direction the corpse was in. After we eat breakfast, I suggest to Sterling that we check it out.

As the tide barely started to come in, Maria inhaled a small amount of saltwater. She coughed, startling awake. She knelt on her hands and knees, her still-groggy mind trying to work out where she was and what had happened. Recollection slowly came as she sat up so that she was only on her knees, shielding her eyes from the glare of the early sun's light.
