Hal has yet to see a fire in disguise. However, he once had a friend who owned a big truck. His friend was a pelican. One day, there was a large forest fire, and Hal's pelican friend had to put out the fire by carrying water in his beak and pouring it all over the fire. however, the pelican's beak was too small. The pelican knew that he would have to stretch his beak to save the forest. Hal told him that he would die if he did that, but the pelican only responded by saying "It's a risk I'll have to take. I swore to my father that I will protect the forest, and I intend to keep that promise." Hal watched as his heroic friend sacrificed himself to save the forest. when the fire was out, Hal could not see his friend. Hal searched for his friend, and he found him. The mighty pelican's last words were: I wan yoo doo aff ma twuck. This is the last words he said. Hal did not understand, but after he thought about it, he knew that his friend gave him his big truck. He only sounded weird because he stretched his beak out too far. And that is how Hal got his big truck, and found another reason to continue the battle with Fire.

Hal, although he lives to avenge the deaths of his pelican friend and girl cobra, has a secret dream. so secret that it is secret even to himself. Hal wants to be an astronaut. One day, Hal met this guy. He was none other than Tom Hanks! Tom Hanks and Hal started talking, and they soon got off track from the thing that they were talking about and so they talked about Apollo 13. Hal asked Tom Hanks what it was like to play an astronaut. Tom Hanks told Hal, "It's not easy being an astronaut, but it's also a lot of fun. you get to float around in zero gravity and stuff." Hal wanted to do this too. He wanted to study the effects of cobra venom in zero-gravity. "Oh Yeah" Tom Hanks added. "There is also a giant ball of fire known as the Sun. I think that's where all the fire comes from." The Sun! Hal realized that to avenge his pelican friend and girl cobra, he would have to destroy the Sun! Hal continues as a fire-fighter, but he wants to be an astronaut, so that he may one day destroy the sun and avenge the girl cobra and his pelican friend. "Thanks Tom!" said Hal "Now I have a new dream." "No problem Hal" said Tom Hanks. "and don't call me Tom. My name is Tom Hanks, and you will address me as such." said Tom Hanks.

Hal is my imaginary pet cobra. He is a fire fighter, and he has a really big truck. Hal wants to be something else though. He wants to be an astronaut so that he can test the effects of zero gravity on cobras.

Adventures of Hal: ch1: Hal the fire fighting cobra
His venom is flammable, so it would be like spraying gasoline on the fire. His parents didn't want him to be a fire fighter for this reason. They wanted him to be a doctor. but Hal never wanted to be a doctor, and ran away from home. He wasn't always known as Hal, he just took that name when he ran away. Hal wanted to follow his own dreams, not the dreams he was told to have. After running away from home, he met a girl cobra. she was pretty. Hal fell in love. but one day, their house caught on fire. Hal was at work that day, but the girl cobra wasn't, so she died. Ever since then, Hal has tried to find the fire that killed the girl cobra. That is why he became a fire fighter.

When Hal went to talk to his parents, his parents told him something very shocking. "Hal," said Hal's mom. "you were adopted." Hal was shocked by the shocking news that he was shockingly adopted. "and that is why you are a cobra and we are flying monkeys." Hal's mom shockingly finished. Hal had never suspected this. "Where are my real parents?" Hal inquired. "you don't want to know." said Hal's adoptive father. "and don't destroy the giant ball of fire, it's too dangerous." "Why?" Hal asked. "The reason that we don't want you to know is because The giant ball of fire is your mother, and your pelican friend is your father." said Hal's adoptive mother. "and that is why we won't tell you who your real parents are." said Hal's adoptive mother. "Why won't you tell me anything?" said Hal. "If you really want to know, it's because The giant ball of fire is your mother, and your pelican friend is your father." said Hal's adoptive father. "O RLY?" asked Hal. "YA RLY." said Hal's adoptive father. "NO WAI!" said Hal. Hal decided that he would confront his birth mother about why she killed everyone he cared for, and that only made him want to be an astronaut even more, so he became an astronaut, and he was assigned a mission to the giant ball of fire.
