Pronouns: Well it shouldn't really be that complicated if you go over my post history but then... why are you searching through my post history? Don't you think you are over complicating something as simple as just referring to me? Why are you like this? Is it just out of boredom? Does your religion require it? You could just assume them and skip all this paragraph, don't worry an eldritch horror won't appear out of nowhere to eat you (or me for that matter) if you get this wrong, the worst that can happen is I ignore you and even in that case you can try again! There shouldn't be that many options anyway so if you get it wrong the first time try again and again. Bottom line is: you just lost a bunch of time reading this paragraph for something as trivial as figuring out how to refer to me when you could just have deduced it which should make you think your life choices so far.

Shall we jump to the next topic then... Before this thread turns bad...

Ok, stop spamming this thread. I'll make some question I just need to think about it first, give me some time...

Not those kind of questions... Questions like the one Keja started the thread with...

Ok, so here it goes:

1. What is your favourite game of all time? It's ok to mention more than one from different genres as it's hard to compare one genre with another.

2. What was the first game you played? The earliest you remember to ever had played, it's ok if you don't remember the name...

3. What is your favourite genre? Why?

4. What matters to you in games? Is it the awesome graphics or the story? Or perhaps just gameplay?

I think that should be enough for now as I can't make up any more questions... I'll answer them some time later...

1. The elder scrolls IV: Oblivion or Super mario bros
2. Rescue rover, an early DOS game, other then that I've also played Nobby Nuss a lot in the time of Java... :)
3. RPG, because you can play those endlessly... Instead of just completing an FPS game in 4 hours, then doing the same again on a harder difficulty... :? I like the sense of achievement I get when playing RPGs... :)
4. Graphics are nice too look at, but when playing it's the least important to me... I also enjoy a good story, tough when it gets just a little bit complicated, or there is too many noise from the kitchen, I miss the story completely... :( Which I hate about me... Gameplay is the most important thing in games, in my opinion... The best games are the simplest... JMTB02 and Ferry Halim are the best when it comes to this... :)

1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in the fighting genre, and Disgaea 2 (I know it is an RPG like TES4, but it is totally different...)

2. Wow, now that's a chunk of nostalgy... The first game I remember playing was one of the first Warcraft, from when it was totally different from WoW... It was a strategy game, where you had to build medieval/magical buildings and troops to attack the enemie's castles and buildings and defend yours... It was kinda like The Age of Empires styled... But I couldn't find it on the net, because of that stupid MMORPG that blocked google from other games that had "Warcraft" in it.. :x :(

3. I like RPGs and strategy games... I like RPG games because you can take a loong while exploring through maps, dungeons, completing secondary quests... One of the games that changed my life the most was Dragon Quest VII, for the PS2... It was huuuge for a ps2 title... And strategy. As long as a strategy game is well-made, and has interesting and challenging objectives, I can spend hours on it... Like, for example, Civilization Revolution, for the PS3, the The Age of Empires series, and even most flash tower defense games... I spent hours with Onslaught...

4. Hmm... Graphics are not really important to me. Take for example, the Roller Coaster Tycoon and the Zoo Tycoon series. RCT 1 is awesome. The 2D graphics are perfect for the kind of game. Building roller coasters with it is a total blast (even though when I get excited, people get too scared for them and I have to delete them =(). I have both RCT 1 Deluxe and RCT 3 Platinum installed. Yesterday, I was building the ASDF park, and I was having great fun building coasters. Then, I remembered I had 3, wich is totally in 3D, and decided to play it. Dude, the coaster builder is crap. Even though the camera is good, 2D building is way better. The same happens with Zoo Tycoon, the first game is totally awesome, even in 2D graphics, and ZT 2 in 3D is a total crap! And Disgaea 2 has some of the worst graphics of the PS2, and I love it.

I value gameplay as a multiplier. A really good game with crappy gameplay is poor, and even a bad game with better gameplay can be better. Story also counts a lot, but sometimes there is just way too much stuff to absorb. Take the Metal Gear series for example. I don't get half the story. But what really makes a game good is more than that. It is the way the game is. The way it combins the features, the way it is revolutionary. What it has. the features, too. The kind of stuff you get to use in it.

just gameplay...story and graphics mean nothing to me.

Rayman!... :D Nostalgia... I remember it crashed the old computer after a while... Again and again...
I love Yoshi's island, 99% complete... I couldn't get to ONE SINGLE red coin... :(
Super mario world rules, even today new levels are being made with lunar magic...

I made kinda an RPG scenario with leveling and stuff out of Age of Empiers 2, since the first one was way too hard for me...
My computer can't play Civilisation revolution... :(

Arkie, try searching warcraft -world...

half-life 2 and starcraft
Shai'tan wrote:2. What was the first game you played? The earliest you remember to ever had played, it's ok if you don't remember the name...
uh, besides windows games, i think it was need for speed 2 SE..
Shai'tan wrote:3. What is your favourite genre? Why?
i don't have one
Shai'tan wrote:4. What matters to you in games? Is it the awesome graphics or the story? Or perhaps just gameplay?
gameplay is the most important, it has to be interesting, exciting, etc.. the story has to be original.. (this rarely happens). Graphics wouldn't matter that much, but i just can't enjoy ugly games :|
