Today, I'm trying to crack a .rar password, so a program is trying every word in the dictionary... 89k words left... :)

:) What if the word is some kind of site or username? If it has 8 digits, the possible combinations are 2251875390625, assuming the password can be made of 0-9 and/or a-z without being caps sensitive... (this is real, I calculated it)

Yes, that method would take a few weeks, that's called the brute force method...

I used the dictionary method... Only trying valid real words... It failed, and took 2.5 hours... :?

can it only be one word? and what about names/made up words? :P depends whose password is it.. you wouldn't find any of my passwords in any dictionary..

The thing is, most passwords aren't real words (or they shouldn't be)...

I have found a list somewhere I'm not going to tell, with all words, a lot of real life names, common passwords, some 1337-speak, a lot of possibilities...

I was trying to crack a .rar containing music from imperishable night, I love it... :)
I'll record from youtube then instead...

I really don't need that option on 15 Mbps... :?

Ah, where to start...

First of all, yesterday I tried out The Beatles: Rock Band for the first time, it was awesome! I'm gonna get it soon :) We also played Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga, good game...

Today was a good day I think... I knew all the stuff in the math though... Learned something new in the Japanese class... Nothing too special. Finally done with the article I was supposed to write, had to deliver before 22:30...

Now, I'm going to game League of Legends :)
