Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Well, that's only the people serving. They're mostly morons. The people at the back are the life of the party however.

Actually, no... Serving is a very difficult job, because you're right up front and center with the customers who complain, mess up your station, order food thats not on the menu, bring annoying kids who get in your way, then there's cleaning up after people like this, the challenge of bringing lots of food to the table and especially if it's crowded and if the whole restaurant is crowded

This isn't a restuarant, it's McDonalds. They stand at a counter handing food to people.

Still, there's the speed factor, annoying kids, placing the order, writing abbreviations or whatever, annoying kids, if you want the toy in the happy meal, annoying kids

Why, if I didn't know you better, I might think that you think kids are annoying. >.>

I ate at McDonalds in London, England and they cleaned up after me. There are a lot of busy people in London and it is almost full everywhere.Flying Sheep wrote:This isn't a restuarant, it's McDonalds. They stand at a counter handing food to people.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Okay i'm not sure anyone will be able to help me but i'll try:
Can anybody who is familiar with the game of go, tell me if on the following picture, in the first situation, are the territories marked with a question mark neutral?
i know in the second situation the left one should be white, but what if both chains are closed?

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
This seems like quite an interesting game. I have no idea about it, but my assumption would be that the territory belongs to no-one. That or, it's black or white, depending on who played first. I dunno.

they are indeed neutral. unless one side manages to break the chain on the other side somehow, they will remain neutral.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Wouldn't it sorta depend on who did their circle first though?

I don't think so...I'm not sure, but it seems to be a variant of the ko rule, but not quite.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
nah, i'll just go with neutral, thanks.
as far as i know, the ko rule only states that you can't put a stone if it recreates the same table layout as the one before.
The situation i was curious about is an ended game.
(I have a job assignment to make a program with which two players can play go against each other, and it needs to evaluate who wins of course.)

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Well, good luck with that. Perhaps there's a forum or site that could help, there seems to be a forum for everything these days.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Wouldn't that not be possible anyway, cause you have to create the 2nd situation to create the first right?

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
in the second situation, if the game is still being played, one could place a stone in the right place to complete the chain.

Re: ASDF Help Thread. [Serious]
Everything kumquat said before this statement was completely true, she was talking McDonalds not some high class resteraunt, it's easy but you have to work, or i'll attack you. You dont just come here stand around and get paid, unless you work nights and even then you gotta work, pulling out heavy grills, cleaning behind EVERYTHING stocking stuff, while making food, with only 2 or 3 other people in the whole store.Flying Sheep wrote:This isn't a restuarant, it's McDonalds.
