well, I still recommend walking in circles. maybe while reading the paper or a novel, something to keep you occupied. and then you can start biking.

Get into a sport, really. I'd really recommend martial arts though. They train not only your body but your mind as well, it's really good. And you still get extras like being able to kick a punk's ass in case trouble arises, and in some arts, breakfalling is pretty good. I was about to fall off my bike a few times when I automatically pulled a zenpo-kaiten-ukemi and rolled to my feet unharmed. It was very very awesome.

Also, I've already watched seasons 1 through 7 of MythBusters and they're still recording the eight so I need a new show to watch meanwhile. What do you guys find cool? I'll download them so anything goes.

umm... I don't know what I can do for you guys but I need some help with stress relief. i'm feeling depressed, all that people tell me is what I'm doing wrong and that i should "go away", "be quiet", stuff like that, and I am ignored when I threaten to be quiet and go away PERMANENTLY, though I'm not serious... I'm relying too heavily on relaxation and slacking off for relief and here i am, stuck with no directions for a paper due tomorrow, so I don't know what to do. seems as if my life's going down the drain.

I'd like to help but you need to be more clear, depression is very broad. Try to break it down is all I can think of, like the song acorns by White Stripes. Take all your problems and break them apart. Try to think of depression as the conclusion not cause, write down what's causing you to be depressed, do it with a clear mind while you are not stressed or you'll just get more frustrated. Then try to fix those things. I'm always down to help but I need input.

Sounds a little like me. Really, what I've found is, relaxing and slacking off, while sounding good at the time, really don't help. And while the thought of doing something, eg homework, might seem stupid, boring and pointless, it actually makes you feel a little better once you've accomplished this task, as you'll find it wasn't as boring as you thought it would, and you'll feel proud for doing it. Then, perhaps someone may recognise your achievement, which may seem little, but is a huge step. Don't worry about the insults. You ever heard of the "Rock and Water" exercise? Essentially, it's knowing when to be solid and stand your ground, and when to be fluid and just let things pass by and just avoid trouble. It may be hard, but you really just need to let these things pass by. It's also a possiblility you're coming in at the wrong times, when the might not want to be interrupted, etcetera. Most people have logical reasons for doing things, but most other people don't see it.

Also, don't say you're gonna "go away permanantly" as suicide, or even running away forever, shouldn't just be thrown around lightly. I've attempted suicide before, and it may seem like a good idea at the time, as no-one would care anyway, but believe me, many people would. Your friends, your family, and leaving would put them into a world of sadness. My mum nearly had a heart-attack when I went to the school counsellor asking for help because I attempted suicide. Petty arguments and things like that may make you feel like no-one loves you, but that anger only rests on the surface. Deep down, they still love you like all hell, they wouldn't hate you.

If you think it's such an issue, it may be wise going to see your school counsellor and having a talk. He/she may be able to help you, and if they think it's serious, they can refer you to an actually psychologist. It doesn't make you psycho, it just means you have problems that need to be addressed and sorted out.

I kind of despise my parents though, and I don't want them to love me, because that's creepy
but I think it was mostly stress and negative criticism... sometimes i get really really angry and I can't control it, I end up just getting into alot of trouble because I'm miserable...

Yeh, my parents suck as well. Just live with it until you can move out, and you'll be free.
And the whole getting angry and raging coz I'm sad thing... I haven't gotten around to fixing that myself yet, so I can't really help you. Just try and find a trusted friend who'll sit down and listen to you.

thanks guys... I think I'm kind of giving up on arguing but I guess I don't realize how angry I get, so I'll have to practice my self-control. I don't have a lot of it.

Then seeing someone may be a good idea. Gaining self control isn't something that happens over night, and it's nigh on impossible alone. I still can't control myself very well WITH my medication, but it's slowly getting better, but it does take awhile.

That might not be a bad idea, and don't start booze and smoking just to feel good, if you have to use substance to feel good there are major underlying issues that need to be fixed not covered. As for needing someone to talk to I'm sure many of us are more than willing.

right now everything's okay, I haven't exploded lately. I just kind of told myself that arguing only makes things worse... and I watch my jokes, sometimes they come out not as jokes... I'll take your advice, thank you so much

I'm not sure of this is really a problem, but ever since I made my account a few weeks ago, ASDF has been all that's on my mind. Whenever I'm not thinking of anything else, my mind starts wandering to ASDF. Is this a bad habit? I mean, I know ASDF is totally awesome, but right now, there's not a day during which I don't think of ASDF. I'm not entirely sure whether or not it's a good thing that my thoughts are almost always of ASDF.
