Re: The Daily Thread
Boring maths is boring.
But yeh, that's about right actually. Depends on the Pokemon I'm training, but most don't take me more than an hour. Just gotta know where to train, and most of the ones I'm training I give certain movesets for whatever EV's I'm giving them.

Re: The Daily Thread
Yeah, I guess. I believe the Exp. Share gives full EVs, so it should be easy since you can battle the EV giving pokemon with your already strong pokemon.

Yeh. PokeRus also stacks with Macho Brace I'm pretty sure too.

Re: The Daily Thread
Yeah. And so far in Black I found 2 Exp Shares, there may even be more I don't know about. You can mass EV train.

Re: The Daily Thread
I don't tend to use EXP shares. It's probably faster in the long run, but I don't like it. I'd prefer Macho Braces + Baton Pass if I'm trying to mass train.

Re: The Daily Thread
Then I also need 3+ pokemon that I want to give the same EVs too, which most often isn't the case.

gotta catch 'em all!
Re: The Daily Thread
Also in black and white, while crossing some of the bridges you can pick up feathers. These feathers each give a single EV to their corresponding stat. The bridges being straight lines, they are also good for hatching eggs which makes collecting the feathers even more worthwhile.

- Pronouns: Well it shouldn't really be that complicated if you go over my post history but then... why are you searching through my post history? Don't you think you are over complicating something as simple as just referring to me? Why are you like this? Is it just out of boredom? Does your religion require it? You could just assume them and skip all this paragraph, don't worry an eldritch horror won't appear out of nowhere to eat you (or me for that matter) if you get this wrong, the worst that can happen is I ignore you and even in that case you can try again! There shouldn't be that many options anyway so if you get it wrong the first time try again and again. Bottom line is: you just lost a bunch of time reading this paragraph for something as trivial as figuring out how to refer to me when you could just have deduced it which should make you think your life choices so far.

Re: The Daily Thread
Yeah, I got a couple of feathers from the bridge, but I think it's much faster to do it normally, or buy iron/calcium/zinc/whatever... Besides, there are occasionally battles instead of feathers...

But FR/LG is the remake of a classic.
I've been thinking of restarting my Ruby/Sapphire file while I wait to get money for B/W. I've transferred all of the cool Pokemon to HeartGold anyway.
I don't usually keep track of EVs... Maybe I should, though.

Re: The Daily Thread
EVs are only really important if you do a lot of competitive battling, otherwise don't bother.

I now have the specifics for my two solid job offers. Now to weigh the pros and cons so that I can give them both an answer. Then I can stop stressing out about it.
