Re: The "Shadow" World
In proofs, there is something called the null hypothesis. It is the thing that is assumed to be true, that one attempts to prove as false. For example, the "null hypothesis" in American law is that the accused is innocent. The prosecution needs to prove guilt.
In the case of the supernatural, the null hypothesis is that vampires, zombies, shapeshifters, etc. do not exist. It's assumed to be true until proven false.

Re: The "Shadow" World
I choose to believe, and so i have been given proof in my daily life. I believe that we must not simply assume that because we cannot see it, it does not exist. God for example, no one can see him, and yet many believe. What is the difference in the two ideals?

Fact: I sometimes use "Idiot" as my username.
RO, if you choose to believe in the supernatural creatures, I'm not going to stop you. That's the great thing about belief: Individuals can believe whatever they want. I, however, will remain one of the many that do not share that belief.

Re: The "Shadow" World
Robert Pattinson is God? Fucking shoot me right now so I can burn in hell.

You'd rather die than worship an attractive, yet boring man?

You misunderstand...if Pattinson is God, that means you have to spend eternity with him. I would rather go to hell.
Re: The "Shadow" World
To he honest, i don't think you're important enough for god to spend any time with at all. He's a busy guy.

Re: The "Shadow" World
Interesting. So the reason God is so mystical and it is difficult to prove His existence isn't because it's a test of faith, he's just tied up in meetings all day?
Re: The "Shadow" World
Another good question about who he meets with. They obviously know he exists because they are in the meeting together.

Re: The "Shadow" World
The supposed God could be aliens. For example, when Moses came down wherever with the 10 commandment things, 'God' could easily have been a UFO with some kind of a PA system. No joke.
When Jesus 'ascended to the heavens' it could have been a UFO.
Many old paintings and artwork depict aliens, and shockingly accurate ones, too.

Re: The "Shadow" World
why would we assume only technologically advanced people could make up aliens?
did you cross-check them with the real ones?TheCakeIsADerp wrote:and shockingly accurate ones, too.
Re: The "Shadow" World
Wait. Let's get back to this discussion about heaven being a BEDroom. Does that mean you can have sex, like, all the time? For all of eternity?

Because there aren't creepy glittering people running all over the place, seducing stupid, pathetic teenage girls. :pRaigekiOkami wrote:How do you know it to be untrue? Because your precious 'science' says so?
