ASDF. Ah the Memories.
So. Anyone who still gets on these days. How new are you?
in other words, I don't feel like searching through the member list to figure out whos here and whos not and who was here when, etc.
SO.
When did you join? Any lapses in activity? And what do you remember about joining ASDF and all that jazz?
Feel free to answer whether you have only been here for a few hours, days or years.
I'll begin.
I joined ASDF May 24th, 2007, which would make me about 4 1/2 years old, and have a little over 4k posts. I used to be a moderator, but when the great philtom took the site down to upgrade it, I was without interwebs and so lost my mod status. Was a sad day indeed when I returned to find out, but have since then accepted it.
I have millions of memories here, some good, some bad, but most ASDF-ey.
I remember the fights with Church of Google , oh man those were the days.
I remember my romance with DomTar275, which was IRL before it came to ASDF, and then the ASDF Wedding we had here, that was absolutely nutty and fun. And then of course the rough problems when we borke up, and my absence for a while thereafter. Then, after everything was cool again and we became friends, and I came back to have more fun with Teh awesomeness of ASDF.
I remember Cap'n Krello and his many wise words of ASDF, and I remember when the user graphics were initiated .
I remember swinging the ban hammer on a few JKL; spies , and bots, and other things non ASDF. I remember trying to initiate the awesomeness of the ASDF RPG, which is when I really left for a long time, causing that project to fall away into the deep, dark corners of the ASDF Sanctuary.
I remember trying to understand ATOM!'s name, and learning of CX's true intentions ;].
And finally, I remember the amazing awesomeness of all the old, and the new, members who have partied with me in the beaming light of ASDF, and hope to continue to have such awesome awesomenesses in the future.
So tell me. What has ADSF done for you

about 2 and a bit years since I joined? that's a longer than I thought...anywho, I posted a lot on the forum since then...I hope I've contributed positively and made someone's day with my many inappropriate and sometimes incomprehensible sayings and such...I posted a lot of doodles and people seemed to like them which made me feel happy. and I made the award images for both the ASDF awards that I was around for which was fun.
I really like that I can communicate with a bunch of people I've never met and be fwendz with them. (we is fwendz...yes? :3) anyway, purple emus, corn, gomez the seagull, and such shenanigans. oh and TD$.

Re: ASDF. Ah the Memories.
You can see when I joined below my dancing carrot.
I went to asdf.com to see if there was such a thing, and that landed me here. I've met fun, creepy (but fun) people, and it has been mostly enjoyable.
And I remember that one time with the thing at the place.

I like just pretending.
Oh wait.
But yeah, all those memories, and most of those people within those memories are pretty much gone now. So sad. I think we need to do something to get out there again, and let people in on the amazingness of ASDF. Perhaps...perhaps we can digg it, stumbleupon it, or... Iunno o.o

Well then technically that's awesome
And yes, I believe the time has come for blackmail. Please, do state how we will do this?

Send them mail covered in soot.. Then they'll 'cough' up some money and we can use it to buy their site, and put ASDF back on it

Re: ASDF. Ah the Memories.
I joined on August 2007...
So the site was 4 months old I guess...
I remember when I came here there where like... 4 active members? Yury, Rappy, CX and Atom'... as far as I can remember...
And then a number of "eras" came, marked by members. I remember the shai era... the girls era... the 14 years old era... the vrai' era [which kinda hitt me, cause I was the mexican guy here]...
I remember when ppl were kind of SHOCKED because I said I am gay, and started to talk about a lot of gay things... some got scared and had to leave the gay-ness behind...
I remember when I came up with the ASDF awards idea... t'was FUN! and a lot of trouble came to the "comunity"
And I remember when I left... and then came back... and this place is SO different... Back in the day there were AT LEAST 2 pages of topics with new posts.... I miss those days....
So, sorry, for this =P
