As it happens, I won't be able to do this at work. I won't be able to download the text of the Bible, given that the firewall blocks downloading ZIP files from unapproved sites. What I can do, if I have time, is write a program to search for the asdf in any given plain text file. Then anyone can do it themselves.

Edit: And I did it. I'll post the code, along with instructions on how to run the code, in the programming topic.

When I got home from work, I downloaded the King James Version as one text file from here:

Then I ran the program that I created. Here is the result:

So there you go. That's the number of "asdf"s in the KJV, according to the definition:
