My Pokémon/Furry Art

Post by 1cooldudeme » Thu Jan 05, 2012 4:30 pm

Hey there. My name is Taylon and here is some furry/pokémon art I have drawn. They aren't THAT good. I have been a furry artist for only about 1 month so please cut me some slack. =)

I like the raccoon with the green shirt.

It looks like you have some potential. Some of your Pokemon look a little chubby (I'm looking at you, Charmander and Charmeleon). There are some areas where you need to follow through a bit more (Your Growlithe looks like it doesn't really have a butt, and Fifi the skunk drawn on GIMP seems to have her legs cut off) and there are a few rough edges all around, but it definitely looks like you'll get there with some practice. :)

I haven't used InkScape much, but I'm sure it's cool if you want scalable graphics.

They're good, however for the hand-drawn ones, if you take some toilet paper (don't stop reading here) and wrap it around your finger about 6 or 7 times, you can use it to make colored pencil smooth over nicely, just change for a different color. If you want to make a shadow on something, scribble some black on a spare sheet and rub on it until the end turns black, then rub it on your drawing gently, it's easy enough if you get the hang of it.

Keep up the good work. I suggest you continue to draw all the time and read some articles and guides (I bet you can find some good ones by just googling) and you'll be a master in no time :D
