BJ washed all the slime from his gear and collapsed into his bed. 'Mental note... Report this to someone important... Remember names later...' he thought as he drifted off to sleep.

(in the vicinity of the landshark caves)

the ground rumbles violently and the earth shatters as a river pours into the new scar of the earth, exposed crystals and mineral veins are abundant and soon 3 forces seeking to control the area move in they are : landsharks, goblins and outlaws.

the three opposing forces start building bases to maintain a presence and launch attacks on the opposition, the landsharks build a shanty town with a main barracks near the river, the goblins take a hill side on the opposite side of the scar turning it into a war factory over night as the outlaws take caves on the far right of the scar. war between the opposing sides is inevitable as the resources and land the scar offer are vast and plentiful.

the exposed crystals speed up the growth of the plants making a large pine forest filled with small streams, small caves are formed in the landscape as shellions begin emerging from their underground burrows in search of prey, megachiropterans burst from the underground caverns taking the tree tops as their new roost, wolves from the mountain, highland and forest areas venture in searching for food bringing with them the much larger and stronger vargr variety of wolves.

as these forces gather into the perfect firestorm the landsharks call for allies in their effort to capture the new land and oust the goblins and outlaws from their territory. who will answer them?

all the while a menacing presence haunts the land killing villagers, horribly mutating the shellions and wolves that fight it, draining live stock of blood and even killing the fearsome megachiropterans.

The scene is set for the monster hunters as new and dangerous enemies appear as do allies. a cold wind blows from the scar "welcome to the living ends may those who enter find eternal peace"

BJ is woken from his sleep by the ground shaking. He rolls out of bed, and puts his armour on. He does up his belt with his boxes and dagger on it, before grabbing Maelstrom's summon stone and putting it in a pouch. "What was that..." BJ muttered as he left his room and walked into the street.

people in the street are wondering around in a daze as the earthquakes subside, building damage is at a minimum tho some structures look very unstable Victor is creating pillars of ice to stop the most unstable structures from collapsing before the inhabitants are evacuated.

meanwhile Yuri is surveying the extensive damage done to the landshark plains and the new development of a large valley.

BJ sees a collapsed building. He runs over to it and hears groaning. He rushes inside and sees multiple civilians trapped under a fallen wall. "Crap," BJ says, as he grabs the edge of the wall and hauls it up. Maelstrom sees the strain BJ is going through, so Maelstrom pushes some debris under the wall, holding it up. When BJ realises this, he drags people out from under the wall. He found three people, one of which he lay across Maelstrom's back, the other two he put on each of his shoulders. He then left the building carefully and found a clear area, before lying them down and checking if they were alive.

If this is locked, of if you don't want me, I'll delete and leave... But this seems interesting.

specialization: Dragoon

element: Air

skills: Scale walls and mountains easily.

race: Human

profession: smithing

dislikes: Caves, confined spaces

likes: High places, adorable things

past: Her father always wanted a boy, so he gave her a boy's name, dressed her as a boy, and made her do boyish things. When the monsters outside her home village grew increasingly hostile, the family decided to move to a fortress town. As they entered a local inn, the building collapsed on them.

ultimate goal: Survival

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sughtyu enters an inn with a skeptical look on her face. "Why are we staying at an inn if we're going to be living here?" she asks her father, who walks in right behind her. As he starts to explain, the ground suddenly shakes. The sound of timber snapping is heard overhead as the ceiling, and then the wall, rushes toward them. After that, everything becomes hazy.. She hears a groaning sound, not realizing it's coming from her, as the pain from the rubble continues to increase. The wall seems to lift away as she is picked up and placed on something fuzzy, and carried out of the building. When she is put down, she catches a blurry glimpse of what looks liker her parents, not breathing, and then promptly passes out.
________________________________
Snej was walking through a town, attempting to find work somewhere, when the earthquake started. He ran, somewhat shakily, into the centre of a park, so buildings wouldn't fall down on him. Once the shaking subsided, he ran off to see who needed help. As he passed what used to be the inn, he found someone unconscious on the ground, so he crouched down next to them.
"Hey, you still with us?" He asked, shaking the person by their shoulder to wake them up. "Here, take this," he reached into his bag and pulled from it a small vial with a murky blue liquid in it. "It tastes bad, but it should clear your head, and help with pain."
specialization: Music
element: Sound
skills: Using the power of music to heal, sleep, and cause pain.
race:(as in vampire,human, etc) Human
dislikes: Boredom, dirt, insects, and the dark
likes: Fancy food, music, woman, and adventure.
past: Raised in a wealthy home, TyJJ was taught in the way of reading, mathematics, and music. After he turned 18, TyJJ's father was to bestow to him their family heirloom, a golden lute. However, it was stolen by goblins.
ultimate goal: To retrieve the golden heirloom and bring back his families honor.
Profession: Traveling Bard
TyJJ was walking through the woods, playing his lute, when he sees a collapsed building. He runs over to the ruins to see if he can find any survivors or food, for he hadn't eaten in three days. As he looks around, he finds a loaf of bread and eats it in a flash, momentarily forgetting his nobility manners. He hears a soft noise like breathing as he finishes his meal. He takes out his knife and turns around to see nothing. He walks out, back into the forest, where he notices something. A young man it seemed was laying on the ground next to two others, a man and a woman. He inspects the bodies and notices that the man and woman is dead. In honor of them, he takes out his lute and plays a requiem in honor of them. It is then he notices the young man moving.
Taking the unconscious person's hand, Snej placed the vial in it and closed their fingers around it, before going to investigate a sound that seemed completely out of place. In a flash, his knife was in his hands, blade pointing down, as he rounded a corner of the inn. The inn was on the edge of a forest, and Snej spotted, not far from the tree line, a man with a lute standing over three bodies. Snej moved closer, crouching and poised to strike, before he was close enough to have no challenge if combat arose.
"People are dying, they could still be in the inn, and you play a song over corpses? Who are you, and why are you doing this?" Snej asked venomously, unable to see why people would take the time to play a song but not actually help anyone.
TyJJ stepped over to the young man, only to find that he was a she. Upon closer examination, he saw that her face was more slender than a man's and had more curve to her hips, although her chest was almost compleatly flat. TyJJ kneeled by her and noticed that her arm was dislocated. He could tell because of the wrist was limp while the other was tight. He knew what he would have to in order to pop the bones back into place without her screaming and making them easy prey. He took out his lute, sayed a silent prayer, and began to play a lullaby that his mother taught him. As he played, the once tight wrist loosened and the entire body went limp. TyJJ then took the arm and poped the bones back into place. He then went off to see if more people and supplies could be in the inn, when he heard a bird sing. But this was not a joyful song, for as TyJJ had spent many years with birds and learning their tunes, he knew this was a retreat song. Having no idea what was coming, TyJJ strapped on his lute, picked up the young woman, hoping to get as far as the threat as possible.
Nice job of ignoring other people's posts/possibly taking over another person's character creation
Snej observed the man continue to play his lute, before picking someone up and starting to leave. Snej gave chase, and grabbed the man by his shoulder in an attempt to stop him.
"First reflex when people are injured is to play a lute. Proceeds to ignore any attempt for human contact. Who are you, and where are you taking that person? Do you even know them? Hell, you could even be kidnapping them and people wouldn't notice," Snej spoke loudly and quickly, trying to get his point across to the stranger.
Sorry. I don't mean to be a jerk. This is really my first time doing a RP. Hope to get better at it as it progresses.
"Look," he said hastefully, carrying the girl, "We don't have much time. I can explain later but right now we need to leave. It isn't safe here. Something big is coming." TyJJ turned around and ran into the woods, thinking about who that man was and how long he had been watching.
In that case, if you haven't already, you should read over the RP Code of Conduct, just to make sure you stay in line with it. Anyway, welcome to the RP section
Snej sighed and followed the man, after having picked up the potion which he had given the girl earlier.
"You still haven't told me who you are, but I suppose I should introduce myself as well. I'm Snej, I have hunted around these parts for a while now," Snej said to the man as they moved through the woods. Snej's right hand moved to a bow placed on hit back: it was a compound bow made from wood from a yew tree. He also had a quiver on his back, with a plentiful amount of iron-tipped arrows; and he had his knife strapped to the outside of his right thigh. His bag was more of a utility belt, made up of multiple pockets which contained various things such as alchemic ingredients and potions. He stood about six feet tall, with long brown hair tied back in a ponytail, and he wore dark leather armour.
Thanks for the welcome.
TyJJ stared at Snej and dispite Snej's dark aura and armor, TyJJ had a sense that he could trust him.
"Greetings. I am TyJJ, son of Richard, and I was walking through this wood when I spied the rubble in the open. It must have been due to the shaking earlier, althogh I had no idea it had done this much distruction. About the bodies, it was a force of habit. Most of my family were old and when they died, they played music for them. It is one of my passions." He gestured the woman in his arms. "About her she seemed like she was dead but I noticed a slight breathing habit and a dislocated arm. Before she could wake up, I put her in a deep sleep and poped her bones back into place. I then headed toward the ruins when I heard the Song of Dispair, sung by a flock of birds flying over head. I knew then I needed to get her out of the open. It was then I ran into you." As TyJJ ran ahead, he noticed Snej's bow. "You must be an archer. Where did you buy your bow?"
We should probably wait a bit soon to see if Sughtyu will come back and post
Snej scoffed at the comment.
"Bought? You think this here was bought? No, it was weeks of hard work, trial and error, and some precise cutting to make this bow. You could probably put a price on it, but it wouldn't be high enough for me to sell. I have had this bow for years, it has never failed me; it would be like selling your friends for some petty sum of money," Snej launched into a passionate speech about his bow, possibly bordering on obsessive.
TyJJ looked at Snej with amazment. He had only seen such bows made by master carpenters, yet this was a simple hunter. Or was he? TyJJ expected there was more to this man than at first glance.
"I apologize Snej. I understand how you feel." Walked slowly and stoped suddenly. "The song has stopped. The danger has passed, for now. Let us rest here for a minute." TyJJ walked over to a tree stump and layed the woman down. "We shall wait for her wake. The song only lasts for thirty minutes. She will feel sore and definitely be confused and we must be ready for any questions she has for us." TyJJ leaned against the stump and began to play his lute. "I know how you feel. About your bow. This instrument was carved from an one hundred year old oak in my families orchard. I would not part with it for anything."
