Re: The Great Collision
Abexil landed and smashed one of them into the ground....the other was able to get to his feet.....but before Abexil was able to respond a third came out of the rubble of a near by building and wrapped its jaws around abexils arm just above the wrist.....abexil yelled.....more in anger than pain and gripped the new beast by the neck and squeezed....forcing its jaws open and swinging it into the other one who had just gotten to its feet.......he sent them rolling and smashing into the side of the building he had just jumped over......they broke through the wall and fell lifeless to the ground.......Abexil had hoped for more.....but after a few seconds he gave up on anymore aproaching him.....after all he did just single handedly took out three of them......he stretched and began to head further into the town.....following Maniel into the tavern..........he looked around......"strange......it being so relatively clean in here"...........Abexil took a few more steps in and closed the door behind him..........then......something told him to turn around.......and thats when he saw him........the new creature......what looked to be a tree.........hiding in the corner.....it seemed hurt and very unthreatening.........Abexil tried to give off a soft demeanor and said, "whats your name creature?......can you speak?.......what do they call......" then abexil stopped.....unsure if this being had the ability or intelligence to comunicate at all......

Re: The Great Collision
Maniels hands froze as he turned towards the creature hiding in the tavern. His eyes turned ice-blue and emitted a cold light as he spoke in a cold way. "I don't want to harm you in any way... But I won't hesitate if you try to attack us. You should explain yourself and----" He stopped and scratched his neck, unsure if the creature in front of him even understands him.
He turned to Abexil and put his hand on his shoulder, which quickly started to freeze a bit. "Whoa!" He said while removing his hand again "I forgot... In this state I'm unable to touch anything without freezing it... But sometimes I can guard myself just by covering my body with ice... Too bad that it hurts like hell and it also leaves scars all over my body. Expect on my arms of course... Since it's missing skin." He turned around and noticed a bottle of wine lying on the ground. He picked it up and looked at it. "There's still something inside... Mind if I... take a drink? While we take care about our little friend there?"
When he looked at again he noticed that it was frozen as well... "Aww... come on! That's not fair."

Re: The Great Collision
Louis knows he(she?it?...ok, he) is discovered, he curls up even tighter getting ready for the attack to come, and the ... part that he doesn't want to think about. But he waited and waited and nothing happened.
thoughts: "hmm...were they telling me something a few moments ago? They seem rather friendly... At least I want to see who they are"
with these thoughts Louis slowly rises his head(?) and looks at the two strangers.
thoughts: "they seem...rather normal, kind of like the villagers I used to know except their clothes are a bit different."
Being reminded of the villagers, Louis lowers his head again and stares at the tavern floor, recalling old memories.

Re: The Great Collision
Maniel put away the frozen bottle of wine and noticed that the 'thing' had moved. "Well at least we know that it can move..." he said to Abexil.
Then he made a few steps towards it and his hands started to glow brighter, just like his eyes. ""Listen. I don't have all day. We are not your enemy. You seem like you know one or two things about this area! I know that you can hear me... Even if I don't know if you can understand me... or even speak... But there are two options... The first is you give us a sign that you are friendly... the second is... well....I'm here to eliminate the creature who seem to have killed the citizens... And I'll have to do the same to you. Maybe you were helping them."
Maniel made himself ready to freeze the kinda like a tree looking creature in front of him. But he hoped he doesn't have to since he needed informations about this place.

Re: The Great Collision
Abexil put his hand in front of Maniel, "Easy my friend.....this......living tree....for lack of a better term.....seems to be injured as well....look at him," Abexil pointed at the new creature......."he doesn't even seem that threatening really......though it would make it a lot easier if he had a form of communication.....if he does he hasn't shown us so far obviously".......Abexil grabbed a chair and sat down a few feet away from the treant and began to just wait and watch him.....unsure himself of the beings intentions....but he wasn't the kind of man who attacked and killed with no reason.........so he just......waited
Re: The Great Collision
After hearing the mention of killing, Louis returned to face the reality. Louis jumps up (8cm) and looks at the two strangers.
"Please don't kill me! Please! I'm harmless, I'm the exact definition for innocent! I just got to this town! I didn't kill the villagers! I mean, I can't kill the villagers: I'm a very weak being! Look at me, I can't do anything! I will be helpful...I hope...but that doesn't matter, PLEASE DON'T kill me! PLEASE! PLEASE! Please!......" Louis kept on going and going, some water (pure water) even came out from where eyes are supposed to be.

Re: The Great Collision
Stings had seen battle before, but this... This was a slaughter. The company he kept truly was dangerous. He had shifted out of his scorpion form and, while the others continued their killing spree, started piling the corpses, both of the villagers and the wolf creatures.
After making the pile what he deemed to be large enough, Stings started piling wood from the ruined buildings around the bodies. There were still more victims --and they were victims all, because he had felt the pain that the wolves felt--, but they could wait until he was able to make another pile.
He could have probably coaxed a fire out of the wood, but after so much death, so much pain, it might be hard for him to concentrate. He went toward the tavern and entered, hoping to find some alcohol to use as an accelerant.
"...PLEASE DON'T kill me! PLEASE! PLEASE! Please!.....," he heard as he entered. He rushed forward, putting himself between the new creature and his... associates.
"The creature is right. There has been more than enough killing today. Unless this being presents an immediate danger to you, leave it be."
He turned toward the others before they could answer. "I mean to give the victims here a proper cremation. It's faster than a burial and just as respectful. I need alcohol to help with the fire. Will you help me?"

Re: The Great Collision
"It was never my intention to harm ... it ... in any way. I was just playing mind games... and well... It worked, didn't it?" Maniel said and the glow of his eyes slowly faded.
"Try your tears, friend. There is no need to be afraid... But still I could use a glass of wine... Well maybe it's not the time for it." he said and turned around.
"You said you need alcohol? For a fire...? Then we'll need something with a high amount of alcohol... Let me see if I can find something."
He went to the cupboard on the other side of the room and started looking for something they could use... It didn't took very long until something caught his eye. "Hmm... Burningham Firebreath... 60%... Hey Stings, do you think that that could work?"

Re: The Great Collision
Stings looked at the bottle. "'Firebreath', huh? That should work just fine." He took the bottle and left, leaving the others to decide whether or not to follow.
He doused the wood with the liquor, leaving about half for the second pile that he was going to need to make, his eyes tearing a little from the smell. It certainly seemed to live up to its name. Then he stepped back and sat down near the crude make-shift pyre, far enough that the flames should be harmless but close enough that he could reach out to it. He took a meditative stance and willed the fire to start, sending a string of his determination out to the soaked wood.
The alcohol warmed, then his magic caused the slightest spark. The alcohol ignited, the flame starting to consume the wood and the victims' bodies. Stings stood, his job done, and backed up a couple of paces, watching with respect, sorrow, and pain. The fire would last for a while, and after it was done, the land would be scarred with the burn, symbolic of how the world would be scarred without those who had left it.

"So, I won't die?! You are not going to kill me?! YES!" Louis yelled out in joy, he didn't even realize when Stings left.
"I'm alive, I'm alive" Louis kept on going for a while, and he suddenly stops. Louis turns around to face the "strangers", "My name is Louis, I think I'm a treant."

Re: The Great Collision
Maniel was surprised and said "W-wait... You 'think' that you are a treant? You mean... You aren't exactly sure what you are?"
He rubbed his neck "Well... At least I can get the informations I want now... So... What can you tell me about this 'town' and what happened here?"

Re: The Great Collision
"Well, I never seen a treant before, I only heard of treants from myth and stories, so I'm not sure... and what I can tell you about this town......"
Louis tries to recall his brief memory before he ran into the tavern.
"I don't remember much because I was running away from... some monsters and I only had one chance of looking at the town. I then ran in here and used the rest of the time burying the corpses. But I believe it should look as wrecked as when I got here."
Louis walks to a corner of the cavern, "but there is one thing I discovered - there should be hidden rooms inside each of the building, because they all rises above ground for half a level. This tavern for example: has a room right below here." Louis puts his "arms" (I guess branches) into somewhere that looks like a crack on the floor and lifts up the wooden floor board, showing a hidden entrance below.
"...If only I know how to pick locks..." Louis murmurs in a very low voice.
"Anyways, it's locked from the inside, so I can't open it. My branches can open any outside lock."

Re: The Great Collision
Maniel decided to take a closer look at the secret entrance... "So... it's locked from the inside? I should be able to break it open... But that would cause the 'door' to explode... If I do this you should probably leave this room for a moment... Maybe look after Stings or help him with the remaining corpses... The only problem I see so far is that... well... I have to stay in the room, which means I couldn't escape the wood splinters. It wouldn't kill me but add a few more scars and injuries to my body. I wouldn't mind but if you have something different on your mind how we could open it..."
He sat on the floor next to the hidden entrance and waited for the others to either agree with his plan or come up with a better one.

Re: The Great Collision
Abexil watched and listened to the interactions of his new friends and this Treant and as the floor was lifted and a hidden door was revealed......he heard Maniels suggestion and came up with one of his own........"well that sounds like a plan if your alright with injuring yourself.....but ive been carrying this weapon for awhile and have yet to fire it," abexil referenced his water rifle, "it fires a super heated laser....." Abexil took a closer look at the handle and lock....."i might be able to fire it at the lock and handle and sear it open.....only thing is if there are people alive on the other side.....i may hit someone or something on the other side....otherwise...." abexil grabs a large table effortlessly and says, "i can either put this infront of you or me to hopefully take some of the blast if the door does explode.....up to you....let me know what you feel is best," abexil said to the group in the tavern.
Re: The Great Collision
"hmmm...Couldn't you just aim the water rifle parallel to the lock? Then even if it is too powerful, all that will be injured would be the wall behind it. So you just have to make sure no one is behind the wall." Louis examines the water gun and says.
"And I'm not sure if I would be of any help for cleaning up the corpses, it took me hours to just clean the room..."

Re: The Great Collision
Maniel made a decision while listening to the others. He jumped up and said "The treant has a point. But I should be able to build up a wall of ice directly under the door which could stop your lasers... at least for a small amount of time... It is just ice... but it is quite more durable than natural ice. That could at least prevent that someone down there gets hurt... if someone is down there... What do you think?"
While waiting for a response he examined the door and tried to figure a way out how to form the ice behind the door.

Re: The Great Collision
Louis stood for a while but he finally can't bear the long silence, "I'm going to get some water for myself, call me when you guys need me." and he walks out of the tavern.

Re: The Great Collision
Stings continued to watch the makeshift pyre being consumed in the flames, his mind reflecting on things past and present, and speculating on what the future might hold.
