Two unthinkable tragedies struck different parts of the world today. Prayers go out to anyone involved, or anyone who knows anyone involved.

Might be a good day to hug your loved ones.

i'm terribly busy these days even to read news. i just looked and found out about the american school shooting.. this should be a name for a band. I can't believe how killing sprees are believed to be the "way out" for so many people that it has become a trend. It's like if suicide as a trend wasn't stupid enough, and it apparently went "out of fashion", because in our century, everything needs to be bigger, bloodier, and deadlier.

i'm afraid to ask, but.. what's the other tragedy? (if this doesn't count as 27+1 tragedies)

Yeah, there is a lot of junk to wade through sometimes, but in the end, there are a lot of good, decent people in the world, too.

It really is a mystery why these attacks happen. And it makes it hard to believe that people are inherently good. But whatever the reason, they really are awful things. I don't know what else I can say (except that I don't believe that more guns will solve the problem).

I think everyone who heard about it was affected, though not as intensely as those nearer and dearer to the victims.

Yes these are all very sad... hopefully no more shootings in the present. I just don't understand why people do this
