Dungeons and Dragons!
So been playing D&D e5 and Pathfinder lately and was curious if anyone here plays too?
Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
Funny you should mention it, I just recently encouraged my friends to play again. First session will be in late august, but I'm going to have a warm-up session tomorrow!

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
I have played both D&D and Pathfinder, but not a lot.
I do play Dungeons and Dragons Online, though. It's essentially an attempt to make D&D an MMORPG.

Your post just took a -2 in Strength! Fumble with some cards and wait for your turn! I don't know what these things are about but all I ever see in them is numbers everywhere and I don't like that.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
then they are playing it wrong numbers are important, but not the focus of the game. You should be having a wonderful adventure and stuff... or trying to steal everything from everyone. It's a roleplaying game, emphasis on roleplaying.atomtengeralattjaro wrote:Your post just took a -2 in Strength! Fumble with some cards and wait for your turn! It's very fun.

Seriously I never thought i'd be into satan worship so much.
On the reals I wonder if it'd be possible to do a decent forum dnd thing... it's the dice rolls that'd be tricky. "No I totally crit the last 8 rounds"

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
DM does all the dice rolls? That could get complicated really quickly, though, and you'd have to wait for everyone to post their actions before you'd roll for them.

I'd suggest random.org but they only have D6

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
Any pseudo-random generator would be sufficient for the game, or the DM could have physical dice.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
I could build this as an in site app, but idk if it'd be worth it for the week we'd use it for before giving up roll-20 has a pretty legit system, the problem is anyone playing has to be on at the same time, and most of us are in vastly different timezones.Anonymously Famous wrote:Any pseudo-random generator would be sufficient for the game, or the DM could have physical dice.
Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
We could use it for just the rolls? It has a chat log if anyone doubts the rolls they can check them, right?

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
Roll 20? That's like a live thing, your rolls go up automatically in the game. It's it's own thing though not something we can plug in here.Shai'tan wrote:We could use it for just the rolls? It has a chat log if anyone doubts the rolls they can check them, right?
If I were to build one quick I'm not sure if I could make it post, but I could probably store it on a page to look back on. I'm not sure how
what capabilities this asdf site gives us.
Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
I know what Roll20 is, I was just saying that it has a chat log. You could log into it, roll and then post that here. If anyone is in doubt, they can then check the chat log.
You can make it post. It would have to be by sending url requests though, it's the same way me and Atom disapproves posts. If you check the mod thread we have both posted our sources, you could check them for ideas if you want.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons!
OOooooh I see. That could work. I'll go back through that source too. So assuming this will work is anyone interested. I'd like to do this as organized as we can, where a group decides they will play, preferably about 4 players and I can DM. I'd like people who absolutely want to play, our rp section has left me with ptsd lolol. but if 3 or 4 of you want to give it a shot I'll come up with a format asap and make it happen.

Made the dicebot, this is Lunar for real. Using Atom's code as reference LunarBot can sign in!

I'd like to apologize for any contribution I had to the death of the RP section.

Huzzah!
By the way, in Dungeons and Dragons Online, I play as a ranged rogue. I understand that that will probably not work for this, but it's kind of fun.

Why must every thread in this forum somehow become a programming thread?
