Re: Are you afraid of death?
I agree. in my radical opinion (which is not necessarily a good one of mine, just one that is insensitive and impulse-based) suicide is good.
Now, in a more reasonable opinion, which is more agreeable, it is NOT good, however it should be LEGAL in some cases... such as euthenasia or assisted suicide. I'd go as far as say it should never be illegal in any cases, thoiugh that may not be as agreeable to some.

That is just stupid. Please don't ever say that again.Froggychum wrote:I agree. in my radical opinion (which is not necessarily a good one of mine, just one that is insensitive and impulse-based) suicide is good.

Agree with this.ThingerDudes wrote:idk man I'm a pretty big believer in a person and their actions being a product of the environment so I don't think it's fair to put all the blame on a person that commits suicide. There's so much taboo about talking about mental health and getting help that I don't think I entirely blame the person that didn't or doesn't get help and resorts to suicide because they think it's their best option. There's too many things that are in play to really say that all people who commit suicide are weak-willed or cowardly and that just hides the societal and systematic problems that might be there.

There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Forums of ASDF. But it was a beginning.

Absolutely true. I wouldn't say anything about the person without knowing them, I was just calling the act itself cowardly.ThingerDudes wrote:idk man I'm a pretty big believer in a person and their actions being a product of the environment so I don't think it's fair to put all the blame on a person that commits suicide. (There can be exceptions though, for example if you're an elected official responsible for millions and you're faced with an impossible decision... from a certain standpoint it could be considered honorable, but it's not like it solves anything.)

Also yes. The effects of suicide are negative. Therefore, suicide is not good.assdef wrote:That is just stupid. Re: Are you afraid of death?
If someone is suffering is that better than not living? I believe so. So sometimes suicide is good, is the effects result in less pain for the one who does the action ..
Though then I would be ignoring if he/she/they are missed by family and friends, which means more pain is caused than is relieved (so therefore selfish, but is selfish always bad? No, but in this case probably.)
If not loved, for example if they were orphans who never went to school or made friends, then i believe good for them, they got out of the pain they had to endure for so long.
It is horrible that some people are given lives so bad, that they can't work with, so they commit suicide (and yes the reason is often that they are mentally ill, and not sure what they are doing, or are just misguided, or need help...). Life is precious (and has beauty and positivity), but also so scary and dangerous and unfair and boring and painful. And you only ever have one (if you believe otherwise, then maybe it is less horrible to end your life, because you will have more (unless doing that steals that choice from you... ie maybe you go to hell rather than reincarnate, then I guess live and hope for better ones in next lives?))
When I see bad things , which isn't often, it reinforces my opinion on the cruelty of life. i just cant believe in anything. I think people who believe have more purpose and joy in life (again, not always) so I envy them, but also I find in some cases, people believe in straight out false things, and anything that contradicts what they believe, even if it is fact, they ignore (ie religion (NOT ALWAYS!))
I'm probably gonna grow out of this, but for now my opinions are inconsiderate and brash, I can make sense out of them into more reasonable and mature things, which i also find true (I tried to be reasonable here, but sometimes spouting darkness is easier)... I hope I find goodness in life, and find things to be better.
And yes Im horrified of death, not living scares me, not as much though, and it might be worth it to stop living (not die) to avoid what little pain I do feel (which to me is basically enough to not live, but im sure basically everyone suffers more, Im just a white privileged bastard child so... yup.)...

Luckily for you, we have no real power over you, given that we're merely a semi-inactive internet forum.

Re: Are you afraid of death?
then you are better than I
TBH: I have too much mercy and compassion to do the horrible things i think of, sometimes I consider it chains to what I can do.
