anyone interested in starting a new forum based roleplay?
Hi...I....The Moderator, am back.
and ive got the time to run one of these again.
so just let me know if we have enough people here to start one.
based on how many respond we can decide if we need to play more than one character or not.
just shout out in this post, and here is also where we will decide the story to be started.
ill go create The Story Topic thread after we get this figured out.
im excited to write again and hope there maybe be some of you out there still watching and waiting.

I don't know any rp systems, but if you guys don't feel like a free-form, feel free to teach me something better

as for the story, i am up for anything, as all the games i have played in are dead by now, so i have no reservations due to playing something similar

i think something that is unlimited (ie could last as long as we let it last) is better for me, something limited (ie a short quest or a specific event that ends at a certain point) isn't my style, but if that's what people want I will probably go along.

ive always wanted to do a good space exploration RP.
one of those find a new planet for the human race because our solar system is dieing. we would be the pilots and scientists responsible for surveying the new worlds kinda thing. aliens, virus's, earthquakes, solar flares, and whatever other shit we run into out in deep space.

the stuff i want u guys to help me decide would be like. how advanced are we by this point? and is it just us on a small vessel or are we transporting thousands of people for a colonization project when we find a planet....and whatever else.

or like you guys im pretty much down for anything.
we could always do fantasy magic, future war assassins kinda deal, or apocalyptic survival, zombies, go for power lvl 9000 all DBZ style, or just take an ez road and pick our favorite anime and just survive in that universe....ever wanted to be a soul reaper? or a space cowboy? lol

space rp could be cool, but those other ideas you proposed intrigue me more than space (zombies (might be bland), fantasy (always up for some fantasy), bounty hunters (ie future war assassins))

as for anime, i have never been a fan (and know very little)... i do like the idea of just creating characters and moving from there, but that seems a bit unstable without a world to fall back on.

i think like the first thing we should decide is some world building: what kind of time period we are in... and less importantly, if we are including time travel (a total mess, but one of my favorite niches by far (at least in movies and such))

some world building is good too, i much prefer jumping in to things but it's good to know if we live in a world where magic exists or not.

I also think bounty hunters could be an interesting idea. or maybe just something along the lines of the simpler idea of "we're all rogues"

if we were to be rogues, i think it would be interesting to introduce GUILDS and have us be GUILDLESS.

high fantasy. Magic was unleashed upon the world in rampant form. now the creatures and wild parts of the world are much more scary big powerful and freakish than normal. EVERYTHING out there is fueled by magic, whether they "use" magic or are just "magical" creatures.

either way. it has forced civilized society inside huge walls with bigger defenses and not much trade happens between the walled cities...due to the low survival rate for "caravans" traveling through the wilds.

the time frame is the future. but as for the "TECH" it varies depending on what city u are from or going to. some are space age some are dark ages. some use science to fight the magic....some use magic to fight the magic......others have become ONE with the magic and live among the wilds....

in this world. about all is allowed just give me a backstory. and this is a HIGH POWER game.....but remember please set limits cuz i dont need everyone coming in all "world ending" super GOD lvl messing with the fabric of space and time lol....these characters are going to be STRONG so PLEASE set limits to them.

story is kinda simple.....we are the ones hired for one of those "caravan" missions....transporting someone important to a distant walled city.....and we are bringing something back most likely.....just let me know what u think, and if u want to add anything.

just judging from what u have been asking about.....this feel spot on to what u are looking for....just tell me what yah think.

Definitely sounds interesting, and I sure can work with that set-up. That's the most fun about RPs anyways, having to work with what the storyteller gives you as outlines.

And don't worry, I'm prepared to micromanage multiple personalities if some situations require it.

me to.....i love making very interesting NPC's that are dead in three posts

. lol ill just wait for froggy's input.....and setup some character sheets and a brief description for the start if you guys are down.....i check this about 3 times aday so i can promise a post a day....and if i check at the right times i can sneak a second in if i catch it after your posts....
i sale cell phones so im posting at work between customers....not a highschool kid anymore.....used to be able to check this like 10-15 times a day back when this all started lol.

just had another idea.....so same world....but instead of escorting caravans....we hunt the creatures of the wilds.....one of numerous Monster Hunter Guilds......but we work at the most reputable.....we take the Hunts the other guilds turn down....

Yeah, that seems like material for a good RP.

And I'm trying to check in a couple of times a day, too. Highschool was great in terms of free time

Time management can be complicated as an adult, especially in the military, like in my case, but I'm fairly sure we can make it work.

Sometimes a slow pace of story progress can be a welcome change after all.

alright im on it.....probably be sometime tomorrow (days the 19th) ill have my main character done.....yeah been a sec for me to....but i miss writing (even if i still to this day dont punctuate).....

ill call it out now so you guys dont give me shit......i had a sever brain injury when i was 16.....forgot how to write and spell......ive relearned spelling....but still dont know how to use those commas....(that shit really messed up my dreams of being a writer....was working on a series of books back then.....after that i couldnt bring myself to finish them.)

i havent sat and given mine any thought.....tbh kinda wanted to see what u guys put together first......im prolly gonna be a creature from the wilds that became sentient.....or.....idk lol ill have it up before tomorrow morning....and ill try to get my first post in by then to......there is no order to who posts first.......just keep in mind we have to all move on the same time spans......and if we are all involved.....well we have to wait for each of us to post before we can continue that situation further.......i mention the time spans....because we may not always be in the same place.....but....if you two are in the town and im out in the wilds doing something......you two can post back and forth for as long as you want but if something like your characters go to sleep and wake up on the tomorrow.....you will now have to wait till i post my shit and get my character to tomorrow morning as well......yah know what im saying....lol word im SUPER excited
