Additionally, D/M/Y is the best date format due to it being sorted by order of importance. When someone one the street or at work/school/university asks what day it is, the importance is as follows:

weekday (how long until the weekend) - day (how long until payday) - month (how long until next vacation) - year (random denominator with absolutely no meaning)

This is shockingly wholesome and now I'm saddened by the fact that i don't have ridiculously large cockroaches to cuddle.

Hard agree in terms of date format.
When writing shorthand dates I do it like that (18/04/2024).

Though, I write longform dates like "April 18th, 2024" note the ordinal-ization of the 18 and the comma before the year (actually, I think this comma is not supposed to be there, but I like it so I keep it).

If I were a perfectly consistent being, I would write it as 18 April 2024, but I'm not and I don't want to write it like that. Just a preference thing on this one, honestly.
