After almost seven years of using ASDF, I just learned I can upload stuff to ASDF directly from my computer...
Why has nobody told me this!?? I've been using image hosting this whole time like a fool...

ADHD? or that would be shorter term?
idk, having lots of projects started can help choose one of them to get back to and make progress on.

I've had this issue before too.

My solution was basically yours, shruvvu. Combine everything together. Last I checked it, I'm at 5725 pages over 130 separate documents (all text files). There's also a bit of amateur artwork and unfinished coding projects in there. The ZIP file itself is 50 MB, so the actual size is probably ten times (I thought they would be equal but my brother told me ZIP file compresses the data by about 90%... Is this true?)

This works fine for me, because I've somewhat accepted I will probably never actually finish any of my work in my lifetime. I might never even share it with anyone, it oftens feel like too daunting a prospect. If you're looking to potentially publish/market/sell something in the future, don't walk this path, though.

Basically, if you want to create songs/stories and be a 'real' musician/writer, keep things separate not just organizationally but mentally as well.
If you're like me, and you have an overwhelming need to express your ideas, then just throw everything together. People like me, we don't love to create, we live to create

Is this true?
if you put effort into the compression process, then yeah you can shrink the size even more than 90%.
but if you are just zipping it normally, you'll slightly reduce the size.
still 50MB is so large for text files.
i had a text file with around 500k characters, the size was hardly a megabyte.

then just throw everything together.
you know i just did this.
did everything in one single project file and started arranging the ideas.
it was fun.

same. i have so much stuff that i've made, but i'm very shy and scared to show them to anyone. maybe because i want my stuff to be perfect before showcasing it to anyone.

Hm... it's probably the picture files then. Data storage is whack, yo.
