PS3 vs Xbox 360 (vs Nintendo Wii)

I'm a VG nerd (for lack of a better term) and I was wondering what ASDFers prefer: Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 (or Nintendo Wii). Please, no swearing but, unless the ASDF rules say so, you can argue like mad over which is better.

The reason why Nintendo Wii is separate is, through research, I've found that Nintendo Wii is meant as a Family console and not as a Hardcore, 'pull-off-super-awesome-graphics' console. It is partially here as it does have good points and it IS part of the same generation of consoles.
Red Yoshi, Orange Yoshi, Yellow Yoshi, Green Yoshi, Azure Yoshi, Blue Yoshi, Purple Yoshi!
There's also Fire Yoshi, Water Yoshi, and... RAINBOW YOSHI! There's also Shadow Yoshi!

Xbox 360 is greater in my opinion, because it was made by Microsoft, who we all know are incredibly awesome people and they rule the world.

Pronouns: Well it shouldn't really be that complicated if you go over my post history but then... why are you searching through my post history? Don't you think you are over complicating something as simple as just referring to me? Why are you like this? Is it just out of boredom? Does your religion require it? You could just assume them and skip all this paragraph, don't worry an eldritch horror won't appear out of nowhere to eat you (or me for that matter) if you get this wrong, the worst that can happen is I ignore you and even in that case you can try again! There shouldn't be that many options anyway so if you get it wrong the first time try again and again. Bottom line is: you just lost a bunch of time reading this paragraph for something as trivial as figuring out how to refer to me when you could just have deduced it which should make you think your life choices so far.

I hate Mocosoft too, but they make great games (and Windows 7 it's not that bad)

Anyway, Xbox has more entertaining games, a lot of people likes more the PS by their predecessors, but... meh... FF sucks (and Pokeman too)

Windows 7 is only good because it stole a bunch of ideas from Apple. Now Microsoft looks clean. Too clean.

I will never ever understand apple fanboys/fangirls.
also apple doesn't belong in a conversation about hardcore gaming anyway.

truth it's truth, they stole some ideas from OS X, (and to be sincere, I'm glad that they have... makes easier use a Win machine, still OS X > Win)

anyway, Xbox 360 it's a good product

I believe I previously made a similar inquiry about gaming systems. Interesting that it seems Xbox is now the favorite, at the time it was PS3.

My nephew has a PS3 and it is quite amazing. I've played Call of Duty on it, and the graphics are disturbingly realistic. (Of course, this is coming from me, and I grew up with an Atari and a Nintendo Entertainment System - 8-bit FTW). The family also uses it as a DVD and Blu-Ray player, which is a convenient feature. I'm not sure if Xbox can do that or not.

And maybe someone else knows better, but I think most of the games are available for both platforms.

I prefer the 360, it has the fable series, which i am rather fond of.

Also, the 360 and PS3 aren't "raaaarrrgh hardcore best graphics rarbylgrabyl grooo", the companies are trying to push wii features onto both so they sell better...

Yerr, both consoles really don't have much difference in my knowledge, apart from the PS3 being released later, some minor hardware/software difference differences and the choice of games.

how do you compare, really? i mean, how much does one of these cost, and do any of you have all 3? just wondering, and if yes, why on earth would you buy multiple gaming machines? i'm guessing to play more games? sounds horrible.

They all approximately the same price I think, and not many peoples have all three except for like no life video game nerds. :o
I think it mostly comes down to the choice of games for most peoples in the long run I think.

No More Heroes is awesome. Its a shame the 360 version will be a Japan only release. I want my super sweet mode, damnit!
